Often, EDOs and Chambers of Commerce wish to provide services for their new and existing commercial and industrial members. The benefits of these services are both obvious and apply to member and sponsor alike. The NCFEDO Directory is an excellent choice for publicizing these services, and offers additional benefits for the sponsoring organization.

Description

Many such services can actually use the speed and flexibility of online storage to provide the service. Here are a couple of examples:

• Vendor Solicitation Most large companies have a set of specifications for dealing with local vendors for materials, supplies and services. This data can be presented in a form developed by the Council and domiciled as part of the organization's content in the Directory. Example
• Employment Openings This online list provides up-to-date descriptions of current openings at a given company. Maintained jointly by the organization and the company, if provides the area's workforce with a dependable resource. Example

How It Works

The Support Services feature appears on every city, county and organization page. Clicking on it takes the site visitor to an index page that lists the various services with links to the actual content-lists, specifications, detailed descriptions, etc.

EDOs and Chambers may use forms from the Council, or they may create their own templates.

Where the Descriptive Information Is Stored

• On the EDO's or Associate's Web Site Some EDOs and Associates may wish to host their Support Services data on their sites. In that case, a link is made from the NCFEDO Directory to the appropriate page. There is no charge for this service.
• In the NCFEDO Directory EDOs and Associates may wish to produce materials and domicile them in the Council's Directory. This, too, is offered free of charge. To defray posting and maintenance expenses, the Council charges $12 a year for 1-5 pages of content. Some multi-media programs that require greater bandwidth will be leased at $25 per year.
