Programs and incentives tailored to the needs of business and industry are always of interest to site selection professionals. Not only do they have intrinsic value to a company, they also demonstrate an area's willingness to take a proactive position in economic development.

Description

The Council has inserted the Special Programs & Incentives feature in the Directory as a shortcut, letting a site selector go directly to information describing such programs. The feature is highlighted on each appropriate city, county, Associate Member and EDO page.

How It Works

The feature appears as a descriptive, linked line of copy on the appropriate pages. Site visitors clicking on the link will be taken to an index page that lists any and all special programs and incentives that an EDO or Associate wishes to promote. Each program is given a one-line description and a link that leads the visitor to more information about the program.

Where the Descriptive Information Is Stored

• On the EDO's or Associate's Web Site Some EDOs and Associates already have descriptive materials on their web sites, or may wish to produce materials and insert them in their sites. In that case, a link is made from the NCFEDO Directory to the appropriate page. There is no charge for this service.
• In the NCFEDO Directory EDOs and Associates may wish to produce materials and domicile them in the Directory. To defray posting and maintenance expenses, the Council charges $12 a year for 1-5 pages of content. Some multi-media programs that require greater bandwidth will be leased at $25 per year.
