Introduction: Available Properties

Background

Many organizations provide lists of available sites to prospective buyers and tenants. Unfortunately, much of that data is displayed in disparate formats on dozens of different web sites, making meaningful search comparisons difficult. Often, frustrated site selectors who encounter lists with scant entries, inadequate detail or unfamiliar formats move on to investigate other locales.

Description

The Council hopes to solve this problem by establishing a comprehensive list of available properties at one location that utilizes a standardized format. Working from a specially prepared database, the Available Properties feature in the Directory will allow searchers to enter a number of preemptive variables to control their results. It will also allow site selectors a great deal of freedom in defining the geography of the search, ranging from a small own to an entire state.

This feature will be broad enough to contain and subdivide all pertinent properties, including raw land, port and airport districts, commercial and industrial parks as well as freestanding structures and facilities. The service will be free of charges to all members and associates and should be of particular value to local real estate agents and developers.

How It Works

The feature has an online registration form. EDOs, property owners and Realtors may enter properties into the list.

Property Owners and Realtors must register with the Council in order to receive an entry code.

EDOs are already registered.

Entering a property on line is a simple matter, utilizing a prepared form.

You are urged to print the form ahead of time so that all necessary data about a given property, or set of properties, can be collected. Not all data fields must be completed, but certain fields are required for proper placement.ing a property online is a simple matter, utilizing a prepared form.

Entries Are Free of Charge

The Available Properties feature is free of charge to all EDOs, property owners and Realtors.
EDOs are urged to pay nominal NCFEDO dues to support the Council's work and are asked to recommend local Realtors who specialize in commercial and industrial sites.
Realtors are urged to join NCFEDO as Associate Members and pay dues to help defray maintenance and promotional costs.
Both EDOs and Realtors may insert additional materials to promote a given property. These materials will be linked directly from a given property's listing page. The hosting fee for a promotional page is $1.00 per month to offset the Council's bandwidth charges.
