Features
The Directory provides in its listing pages a variety of specially-developed Features that allow EDOs to provide specific types of critical information to prospects. Available Properties A top priority for site selectors, a reliable list of available properties can be linked on every city, county and EDO page. Council staff will assist in compilation and display, using standardized data formats. Special Programs & Incentives Programs only work if the prospect knows about them. The Directory prominently displays them throughout the applicable pages. Support Services Developed by the Council for member use, these online data services augment an EDO's continuing support of industrial citizens. Uniquity An EDO's chance to strut their area's stuff. From full-blown video to testimonials to a history lesson, whatever it takes to communicate the unique qualities of an area and its workforce can be presented via the Directory. Demographic Data Standardized topics and formats to provide "apples-to-apples" comparisons, the kind of data that prospects require for serious consideration. |

NCFEDO wants all EDOs and trade allies to be included in the Directory. If your organization or company is not listed, see Member Registration, which will enable you to register online.
As a fundamental principle, the Council believes that it is important that all data included in the Directory be made available to prospects at no charge to them. At the same time, the Council wants to avoid listing charges to EDOs, especially since program funding is a chronic problem in economic development circles. However, the Council will need to generate revenue to meet developmental and maintenance costs for the Directory and for advertising and promotion of the Directory to the economic development community. It anticipates the need to sell advertisements in a dedicated area of the Directory. Ideally, this support will come from parties interested in economic development, thus shielding EDOs from additional expenditures. |
